HUNTINGTON BEACH LIBRARY LECTURE
Hillman, Mossanen at Friends of the Library Luncheon
Issues surrounding the Holocaust are brought to life in the I Will Plant You a Lilac Tree: A Memoir of a Schindler's List Survivor, by Lara Hillman.
A story in which triumph of the human spirit over some of history's worst atrocities is documented from the perspective of an individual named Hannalore (Laura Hillman), a girl who made the decision to go with her family to prison camps, takes the reader through the events that saved one youngster's life.
Hillman will be featured at a luncheon on September 16 at Central Library Cultural Center in Huntington Beach Central Park.
Also featured is Dora Levy Mossanen, author of Courtesan, a romance novel with settings spanning the globe from Persia to Paris.
The luncheon is $15/person. Doors open 11:30 a.m. Buy your tickets at the Library's gift shop, operated by Friends of the Library, 7111 Talbert Ave., Huntington Beach, CA
